My first interaction with the Salt & Soil Marketplace was as a customer—so impressed with the work being done, I officially joined the team in 2019 as the Marketplace Coordinator. Having spent my life in Southeast Alaska—a place where communities sit on the edge of the where the ocean meets the forest—has shaped my understanding of place, as well as my palate. Working with local growers, foragers, and producers inspires my creativity in the garden and in the kitchen where there is always something fermenting—usually on purpose.
