Meet the Farm to Early Care and Education Advisory Committee
“
When you teach about food, you are empowering kids and families to make the best decisions that they can make.
Learning more about science, and brain development, and all of that, it was almost like a validation that this was—it’s important to work with kids during this time, right. And my mind is like, there’s no way I’m going to do anything else.
How has food shaped who you are?
I would love to see food education as part of the basic curriculum, right?
“
I want to see kids spending more time outside, developing all those skills when they’re growing food. I also want to show providers easier routes to connect kids with local fresh, healthy food.
Thank you to Gabriela Bizari for sharing her time and wisdom as a member of the Farm to Early Childhood Education Advisory Committee.
