Portland, Ore. — Ecotrust announced today that it has earned an eleventh consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the nation’s leading charity evaluator and most trusted information source for responsible giving. This is the highest rating awarded annually by Charity Navigator, putting Ecotrust among an elite group comprised of less than 1% of 6,000 charities rated.

Ecotrust prides itself on being a bold innovator in building resilient economies, communities, and ecosystems.  At the same time, accountability and transparency are crucial to being a resilient organization and a reliable partner to a growing community of Ecotrust donors. “We are constantly working to improve our good governance to consistently execute our mission in a fiscally responsible way,” says Astrid Scholz, President of Ecotrust.

Charity Navigator’s data-driven analysis method has been profiled by Forbes, Business Week, and Kiplinger’s Financial Magazine, among others. Its ratings show givers how efficiently an organization will use their financial support today, how well that organization has sustained its programs and services over time, and its level of commitment to being accountable and transparent.
