Families love to harvest all sorts of berries on the Tongass National Forest. Many are processed as jam or frozen for the winter. It’s impossible to resist smashing a few berries in your mouth while you are picking and our hands can become stained with berry juice. These blueberries were harvested in the alpine of Harbor Mountain near Sitka, Alaska. Photo credit: Bethany Goodrich
Legacy giving, donations of stock, and more
Your support makes an impact. Whether you inspire a gift, donate stock, or leave a legacy gift through your estate, there are many ways to contribute to Ecotrust’s work building an equitable, prosperous, climate-smart future.
Your gift today supports climate-smart management on nearly 400,000 acres of working lands, the uplift of more than 100 businesses owned by entrepreneurs who are Black, Indigenous, and people of color, and the creation and maintenance of 1,300+ jobs in forests, farms, coastal communities, and cities throughout our region.
With your partnership, and the unique and valued contribution of many, we are pursuing a vision of an economy that supports the well-being of people, communities, ecosystems, and the planet. Make an impact with Ecotrust.

“Jean Vollum was a philanthropist in the truest sense of that word,” said Ecotrust founder Spencer Beebe, who knew Vollum for 35 years and worked closely with her to create Ecotrust. “She was someone who loved humanity.”
By making a legacy gift to Ecotrust, or naming Ecotrust as a beneficiary in your estate, IRA, or insurance policies, you are making a lasting commitment to advancing social equity, economic opportunity, and environmental well-being for all.
