This spring, Ecotrust is relocating our office from the Natural Capital Center (NCC) in Portland’s Pearl District to the Redd on Salmon Street campus in Southeast Portland. Our new address will be 1140 SE 7th Avenue, Suite 150, Portland, Oregon 97214. At the NCC, our engaged presence will continue through Ecotrust Events and our roles as the building’s owner and caretaker.

The Redd on Salmon Street is a project of Ecotrust and a dynamic two-block campus that combines critical food system infrastructure, office space, and a world class events center. Our new office will be situated in Redd West, next door to key partners and 170 food businesses that access the campus’ cold storage, aggregation, packaging, and distribution services. Over at Redd East, our events center continues to host vibrant community and private gatherings.

Our move to the Redd fits how our team is working now and how we will work in the future. Today, our team of 65 is spread across the bioregion, and many of our Portland-based staff plan to work in some combination of at home, in the field, and in the office. The office at the Redd meets our needs for a smaller space with plenty of rooms for collaboration.

As our office shifts, we celebrate the NCC as an important part of our future, as well as our past. The building, which was the first restoration of an historic building to receive a gold rating in Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED), has been our home for more than twenty years. Alongside the mission-aligned businesses and organizations who also call the NCC home, we’ve charted two decades of collaborations, debates, meet-ups, shared meals, memorials, and celebrations that helped move our mission forward. The NCC is a remarkable asset for Ecotrust, given to us through the generosity of the Vollum family and many others. Following our office move, the NCC will continue to sustain and inspire us.

As soon as mid-April, Ecotrust staff will work from our new office at the Redd. We look forward to welcoming partners and to reconnecting in our new space. At the NCC, Apex Real Estate Partners is working with us to lease our former office space; details can be viewed here. And at both the Redd and the NCC, our beautiful historic venues host a range of private and public events! Contact Ecotrust Events to learn more.
