In our 2016 progress report, we reflect on our work to to build new ways of living and doing business.
As the Ecotrust staff make plans for 2017 and beyond, we are also reflecting on the important milestone of celebrating our 25th anniversary this year. We are proud to have accomplished great things with our partners and supporters like you:
- We have protected more than 1 million acres of forest in this region, in partnership with Native communities who’ve lived here for thousands of years.
- We helped create more than 100 Marine Protected Areas off the West Coast — designed in a way that protects marine life while supporting the coastal communities who depend on healthy oceans.
- We helped feed more than half a million kids in Oregon’s schools healthier, local food just this year, while creating jobs and bolstering local economies across the state.
In all of our work, Ecotrust is powered by the vision of a world where people and nature thrive together. Since 1991, we have partnered with local communities from California to Alaska to build new ways of living and doing business. In our three core program areas — Food and Farms, Forests, and Fisheries — we pursue ideas and opportunities that balance equitable economic growth with the restoration of these natural systems.

Thank you for making this work possible with your support and partnership.
