April 4 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am

| $35 - $65

The Nonprofit Association of Oregon presents:

Strategic Planning through a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Lens

Presenters
Sara Paez, Senior Consultant, Nonprofit Association of Oregon
Alexis Millett, Consultant, Nonprofit Association of Oregon

Strategic planning is a powerful process used by nonprofits to:

  • Assess and generate goals and strategies,
  • motivate and align staff and board, and
  • ensure organizational relevancy and effectiveness.

As diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) becomes increasingly vital for nonprofits to achieve their missions, nonprofits are required to view traditional and/or mainstream processes like strategic planning through a new lens.

In this training, you will explore the key elements of a strategic plan and apply a DE&I lens that will make your plan more inclusive and more likely to advance equitable outcomes in your community. You will gain insight from two NAO consultants, Sara Paez and Alexis Millett, who are dedicated to fusing DE&I work with your organization’s business goals. You will also have the opportunity to share your own challenges and successes in this work through exchange with peers.
