DESCRIPTION:Raíces (Roots) Gala is a celebration of culture\, community\, and collective impact. This special evening brings together community leaders\, advocates\, artists\, and supporters to honor the resilience of Latine families across the Portland Metro Area while investing in a stronger future for our community. \nGuests will enjoy an inspiring evening featuring cultural performances by Los Viejitos Alegres de Michoacán and Danza Azteca Ollin Yolliztli that celebrate the richness\, tradition\, and vibrancy of our communities. The evening will also feature the unveiling of a mural painted by Mario de León\, inspired by participants’ stories and reflections surrounding Día de Muertos and the importance of remembrance\, healing\, and cultural connection. \nThrough this event\, you will raise critical funds to support the culturally specific services provided by El Programa Hispano Católico. Rooted in dignity\, belonging\, and opportunity\, these services empower individuals and families through education\, housing support\, wellness programs\, advocacy\, and community connection.
