BOOKING AN EVENT

We have a talented events team ready to answer all of your questions about hosting an event at the Natural Capital Center. Find out who to contact

BILLY FRANK, JR. CONFERENCE CENTER

Our rates include the 1,800-square-foot space, a venue coordinator to work with you on logistics, onsite security the day of your event, the setup and tear-down of our in-house furniture, a comprehensive audiovisual system, a list of sustainable caterers to choose from, and other modern amenities.

Hours

Monday – Sunday, 7 am – 1 am

Amenities included in rental rate

  • Staging kitchen with refrigerator, deep sink, counter space, and convection oven
  • Podium
  • Forty 5′ x 2′ Herman Miller workshop-style tables
  • 150 Herman Miller chairs
  • Two portable flip charts/white boards

Audiovisual equipment

  • InFocus high definition data projector
  • 10′ projection screen
  • High-fidelity speaker system
  • Corded microphone, handheld cordless microphone, and lavaliere microphone
  • MP3 player connection
  • Wi-Fi wireless internet access (upgraded speeds available for rent; see pricing below)

(Rental includes setup and tear-down)
  • Dining tables: Fifteen 60″ round tables, $10 each
  • Bistro tables: Eight 36″ diameter standing tables, $10 each
  • Wood event chairs: 150 folding wood chairs in a rich mahogany stain, $3 each
  • Slate gray sofas: Two sleek, mid-century modern sofas, seating for 3-4 people, $200 each (indoor use only)
  • Steel gray loveseats: Four sleek, mid-century modern loveseats, seating for 2 people, $150 each (indoor use only)
  • Gray lounge poufs: Two giant beanbag-style chairs, $100 each (indoor use only)
  • Wood coffee table: One 36″ round reclaimed wood coffee table featuring hairpin legs, $40
  • Black square side tables: Can be combined to create a long rectangular or large square coffee table, $15
  • Oak dance floor: $350–$550 (depending on size)
  • LED Uplights: 30 wireless uplights can be set to a variety of colors, $40 each
  • Market string lights running the length of the BFJCC, $150
Additional items (think linens, table settings, candles, twinkle lights and lanterns) may be rented from an outside vendor. Please make arrangements through your caterer or with a rental company directly.

IRVING STREET STUDIO

Our rates include the 7,000-square-foot space, a venue coordinator to work with you on logistics, onsite security the day of your event, the setup and tear-down of our in-house furniture, a basic audiovisual system, a list of sustainable caterers to choose from, and other modern amenities.

  • 350 chairs
  • 25 66″ round banquet tables
  • Basic audiovisual package, including microphones, 2 ceiling-mounted projector, 2 drop-down screen, a flat panel screen (board room only) and surround-sound system

ROOFTOP TERRACE

Our rates include the 2,240-square-foot space featuring an outdoor fireplace, four picnic table-and-bench sets made from repurposed wood, a venue coordinator to work with you on logistics, onsite security the day of your event, a limited sound system, and a list of sustainable caterers to choose from.

Hours

Monday – Friday, 5 pm – 11 pm (Events must end by 10 pm. Setup cannot occur prior to 5 pm) Saturday – Sunday, 7 am – 11 pm (Events must end by 10 pm)

Sound

The Rooftop Terrace rental includes the use of our sound system with indoor and outdoor speakers. MP3 players may be connected, but amplified musicians approved on a case by case basis. City of Portland noise regulations strictly enforced. All outdoor sound must end by 10 pm.

Smoking

We invite you to join us in upholding our indoor air quality standards by not smoking on the Rooftop Terrace or outside stairwells.

  • Handheld Wireless microphone, $25

WEDDINGS

Our rates include beautiful and flexible spaces, a venue coordinator to work with you on logistics, onsite security the day of your event, a comprehensive audiovisual system, and other modern amenities. Our rate structure is dependent on season and day of the week. Our venues require a four-hour minimum. Additionally, we require a refundable $750 security deposit and general liability insurance. Call us to learn more and book your wedding, rehearsal dinner or reception!

Catering

We offer a curated list of Portland’s most sustainable caterers for you to choose from. All wedding-related events must contract with one of the full service caterers. Please contact the caterers directly to discuss menus, pricing, and contracts. A $1,500 fee will be charged for use of an out-of-network food or beverage provider.
