Upper Lynn Canal Food System Strategist

As the Upper Lynn Canal Food System Strategist, I work in the communities of Haines, Deishu, Klukwan and Skagway. Prior to- and in continuation with- the Coastal Communities and Fisheries team, I founded the Lynn Canal Food Web and Mosquito Lake Victory Garden. In 2024, my most exciting projects have been developing a fallow 3.2 acre agriculture property and establishing the Chilkat Valley Food Hub- the ninth food hub in the entire state of Alaska! I am passionate about nurturing social inclusion through food, especially growing, harvesting and cooking. I love living in the Chilkat Valley and am grateful to have raised my two sons here.

Lynn Canal Food Web invites you to join our cause for food access, security, and sustainability in the Upper Lynn Canal!

We love bringing workshops, food distributions, and community garden growth to Haines, Skagway, and Klukwan. And we invite you to join our mission! Donations allow us to increase our programming and support more individuals and families throughout the region.
