Maranda Hamme

I’m excited to join the Coastal Communities and Fisheries team as the Mariculture Catalyst! I’m a lifelong Alaska Native resident of Southeast Alaska. I grew up on Prince of Wales Island, where I now live in Klawock. I own and operate Shinaku Shellfish Co., our small, family-run oyster farm.
In addition to farming, I work as a special projects consultant across the region, supporting community-led initiatives I look forward to connecting with communities throughout the region to learn about their mariculture interests and to help advance sustainable development in the region.
