Megan Colwell has two decades of experience as Senior Vice President and Partner of Woodruff Sawyer in San Francisco and Portland, where she provided risk management and insurance counsel to public and private companies of various sizes. In particular, Megan specialized in management liability, employment practices liability, ERISA liability, and cyber network security and crime insurance. Previously, she held a range of positions at an insurance company, where she evaluated commercial risks for insurance, negotiated insurance policy language for customers, and managed company relationships and corporate strategy, among other responsibilities.
Now retired in Portland, Megan dedicates her time to volunteering. She has served as both a committee member and chair of Point Blue Conservation Science, a northern California-based organization focused on reducing the impacts of climate change and environmental threats. More recently, she completed a four year term as a member of the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon, which serves as the ecclesiastical authority in the absence of a bishop.
