PORTLAND, OR – Need a place to concentrate and relax? Would you like to spend at least a month in a peaceful, coastal hide-away surrounded by a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve?
Ecotrust is delighted to be partnering with the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology to select a Science or Conservation Resident interested in pursuing an issue with the potential to benefit the natural environment and make a region or community more resilient. We are welcoming a broad scope of applications for this unique opportunity for a Resident to spend one, two, or three months in one of the most beautiful places on Earth — Cascade Head, Oregon. This is the perfect opportunity to start or finish a research or writing project that has been on the back burner for too long.
The Resident will have the use of a wonderful, new 500-square foot house located on the Sitka Center’s campus to work at his or her leisure. Housing for the Resident is provided at no charge, but the Resident will be responsible for food, travel, etc. The Resident will live among a small community of other Residents who are all artists, and all Residents are asked to participate in a community event and project. More information about the Sitka Center’s Residency Program can be found at http://www.sitkacenter.org/3-0.html.
