FoodHub’s popularity surging

FoodHub's 3,000th member, HotLips Soda.

The FoodHub team is breaking out the bubbly — a bubbly bottle of fruit soda that is, with our 3,000th member, HotLips Soda! Just over two years old, FoodHub’s award-winning online marketplace, an Ecotrust project, was built to connect companies like Hotlips Soda with regional suppliers and buyers. As the companies and connections grow more robust, so does the regional food system.

This week, FoodHub has even more to celebrate, as a finalist for the Google-sponsored Interaction Award, a prestigious juried award for outstanding interactive designs that improve relationships between people and the products and services they use. FoodHub, in the company of other big-name innovators like Nike and Nokia, is a finalist for the “Connecting” category, one of six categories in which 35 awardees will be named.

The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be announced at the Interaction Awards Celebration on Friday, February 3rd, at Interaction12 in Dublin.
