On November 1, 2013, Roberta “Bobbie” Conner was inducted into the Hall of Achievement at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication for her work to preserve and protect American Indian culture and create opportunities for a new generation of cultural activists. Conner, an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla, has served as Director of the Tamástslikt Cultural Institute since 1998 and was the 2007 recipient of the Ecotrust Indigenous Leadership Award.
