35 years

For 35 years, Ecotrust has worked from headwaters to horizon—starting at the root of systems where equity, economy, and environment converge, and stewarding change outward through partnership, bold ideas, and practical action.

Innovation and community collaboration have always been core to how we work—from our early leadership in triple-bottom-line thinking to investments, stories, and tools that challenged conventional approaches and opened new possibilities.

Our work has never been about doing just one thing; it’s about bringing together the right skills, partners, and imagination to meet the moment.

OUR HISTORY

Our organization was imagined as a natural system, and over the past 35 years, we have embodied this through overlapping cycles of growth, adaptation, and regeneration.

EVENTS

To mark this milestone, we’re excited to gather with community across a series of opportunities to celebrate. From volunteer days and film series to a gala there is something for everyone.

Earth Day
Join Ecotrust for our third annual Earth Day Volunteer Day. This year we’re looking forward to partnering with Portland Parks & Recreation at the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge.

Wednesday, April 22nd | Registration coming soon!

Film Series: Stories of home

Across a series of three events, we’ll be gathering with friends, family, partners, and storytellers at the Redd on Salmon Street to highlight films about living, working, and imagining new futures for our region.

Each event will feature fare that celebrates the flavors of the season and the cultures of our communities.

We’re excited to welcome filmmakers, both professional and amateur, to submit pieces for inclusion. Have a story to share? Stay tuned! We’ll be opening submissions in March.
