Ronda Rutledge

Executive Director

Ronda, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, has a background in psychology, communication, and organizational leadership. She led the American Indian Child Resource Center in Oakland, CA for almost ten years, working with Native families from over 200+ tribes in the Bay Area. After relocating back to Texas where she’s from, she led Sustainable Food Center in Austin for almost fifteen years. While living in Central Texas, she volunteered for Great Promise for American Indians which put on the largest one-day powwow in the country. In her previous experiences as a nonprofit executive, Ronda successfully led these agencies through two economic downturns resulting in programmatic expansion and exponential growth. Currently, she serves on the board of the Native American Youth and Family Center in Portland, OR. Her professional career has included individual and family counseling, life and leadership coaching, fundraising, visioning and strategic planning, justice/equity/diversity/inclusion, and policy advocacy.
