PORTLAND, Ore. – Ecotrust today announced that it has earned an eighth consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for the organization’s ability to efficiently manage and grow finances. Only one percent of the charities rated by Charity Navigator – America’s premier charity evaluator – have received at least eight consecutive 4-star evaluations.

The new “exceptional” designation for Ecotrust from Charity Navigator differentiates Ecotrust from its peers and demonstrates to the public that it is worthy of their trust. As the nonprofit sector continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, savvy donors are demanding more accountability, transparency and quantifiable results from the charities they support. In the competitive philanthropic marketplace, Charity Navigator highlights the work of efficient charities such as Ecotrust and provides donors with essential information they need to make sound donation decisions.

According to Charity Navigator’s analysis, Ecotrust consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and fiscally outperforms most other charities.
